Inside — “So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without His unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18, The Message Bible)
Many times we are more concerned with the outside, with our physical bodies. But they aren’t meant to last forever. We forget about our inner man — our spirit — which will last forever. Jesus highlighted this to the Pharisees, telling them that they were more concerned with the outside than the inside. (See Matthew 23:25 and Luke 11:39)
Remember, we are the temple of God. “Have you forgotten that your body is now the sacred temple of the Spirit of Holiness, who lives in you? You don’t belong to yourself any longer, for the gift of God, the Holy Spirit, lives inside your sanctuary.” (1 Corinthians 6:19, TPT)
Yes, we are to take care of our bodies but not at the cost of neglecting our spirit man! Remember, what you feed is what will grow.
Let’s Pray:
Daddy God, help us shift our focus from the temporary outside to the eternal inside. When circumstances look like they're falling apart around us, remind us that You are making new life within us every single day. Open our spiritual eyes to see the unfolding grace happening in our inner man. Help us prioritize our spirit over our flesh, knowing that what we feed is what will grow. Make us conscious that we are Your sacred temple and that the Holy Spirit lives in our sanctuary. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I will not give up because God is making new life inside me every single day! Even when external circumstances look like they're falling apart, I know His unfolding grace is working in my inner man. I am the sacred temple of the Holy Spirit, and He lives in my sanctuary. I choose to prioritize my spirit over my flesh, feeding what I want to grow. Hard times are small potatoes compared to the lavish celebration being prepared for me. I invest in eternal realities, not temporary appearances. What I can't see will last forever!
I decree that God's unfolding grace works in my inner man every single day!
