Redemption — “As fully representing mankind, Jesus’s death brought an end to the old, and introduced the New Testament. He thus redeemed us from the transgressions recorded under the first Covenant and identified us as heirs; qualifying us to participate in the full inheritance of all that He obtained on our behalf.” (Hebrews 9:15, The Mirror Bible)
Jesus’ death accomplished so much more than just paying the bill for our sin! It settled our inheritance in Him forever. His death sealed all the promises that had been spoken of throughout time. These promises became the Will and Holy Spirit is Executor. Those who are to inherit the estate didn’t necessarily do anything to deserve it. You don’t earn an inheritance; you simply receive it. It’s a gift for being in the family.
So Jesus’ death didn’t just pay our bills; it made a way for us to be brought back into the family of God. The only thing you have to do is accept the inheritance that belongs to you!
The Will has been executed!
Let’s Pray:
Good morning, Daddy God! Thank You that Jesus' death accomplished so much more than just paying our sin bill - it secured our inheritance forever! Help us understand the full magnitude of what was accomplished through His death and resurrection. Holy Spirit, as executor of this divine will, help us receive and walk in everything that belongs to us as heirs. We don't deserve this inheritance, but we're grateful it's ours simply because we're in the family. Help us stop living like spiritual orphans and start living like the heirs we truly are. The will has been executed - now help us walk in the fullness of our inheritance! In Jesus' name, Amen
Today’s Declaration:
I am not just forgiven; I am an heir in God's family with full inheritance rights. Jesus' death didn't just pay my sin bill - it secured my complete inheritance forever. Holy Spirit is the executor ensuring I receive everything that belongs to me. I stop living like a spiritual orphan and start living like the royal heir I am. The will has been executed, my inheritance is secured, and I choose to walk in the fullness of what Jesus obtained on my behalf.
