Seeds — “God will never be mocked! For what you plant will always be the very thing you harvest. The harvest you reap reveals the seed that you planted. If you plant the corrupt seeds of self-life into this natural realm, you can expect a harvest of corruption. If you plant the good seeds of Spirit-life you will reap beautiful fruits that grow from the everlasting life of the Spirit.” (Galatians 6:7-8, The Passion Translation)

Many ask the question, “Why is this happening to me?” Instead, maybe we should examine the seeds we have planted. When I say seeds, I’m talking about actions and thoughts. When things go a certain way, are we blame shifting? Or are we looking at our own actions?

We live in a world that is selfish and self centered. Instead of putting others first, we exalt self!  Not only is the type of seed we sow important, but the soil is just as important. Jesus taught a parable in Matthew 13:3-8 about 4 types of soil: hard, rocky, thorny, and good soil that had been plowed and soften watered, ready for seed.

Which type of soil are you sowing into — selfish, bitter, resentful or forgiving full of love? Take time to be with Jesus, Holy Spirit, and Daddy God and prepare the soil of your life!

Let’s Pray:

Daddy God! Teach us the power of standing still and watching You fight for us. When we're surrounded by impossible situations like the Israelites at the Red Sea, help us not to be afraid but to stand and see Your salvation. Give us wisdom to know when to act and when to stand, when to move and when to be still. Help us understand that standing is not inactivity but active faith in Your power to fight our battles. Clothe us with Your full armor so we can withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. We choose to be still and know that You are God, watching You be exalted among the nations and in the earth. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Today’s Declarations:

I choose to stand still and watch God fight for me. I will not be afraid when faced with impossible situations because I know the Lord fights for me while I hold His peace. I take up the whole armor of God so I can withstand in the evil day, and having done all, I stand. I will be still and know that He is God, watching Him be exalted through my battles. I understand that standing is not inactivity but active faith, and inactivity is sometimes the most active thing I can do.

Be a Blessing,
