Spiritual Gifts — “A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge. The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing. He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have” (1 Corinthians 12:7-11, NLT)

This is not a complete list of spiritual gifts; there are many more. We all have spiritual gifts. And sometimes, when there is a need, we can operate in a gift that we don’t normally. Some of the problems our world faces today aren’t being solved because of believers are powerless. We’ve either been taught that spiritual gifts don’t exist, or that we don’t need them any more, or only a few special people have them.

That is the great deception. We all have been given gifts from Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. So ask Them what your gift is, so we can change the world around us!

Todays Declarations:

• I declare that I have been given a spiritual gift by Holy Spirit — chosen specifically for me, perfectly suited to my assignment, and fully available to me right now!

• I am not a spectator in the Body of Christ — I am a contributor, operating in the gift the Spirit decided I should have for the benefit of everyone around me!

• I reject the deception that spiritual gifts have ceased, are not needed, or are only for a special few — the gifts are real, they are needed now more than ever, and they belong to every believer!

• I ask Daddy God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit to reveal my gift and activate it fully — so that I can help change the world around me!

• When there is a need I step into whatever the Spirit makes available — I am not limited by my regular operating gift when the Body requires more!

Let’s Pray:

Daddy God thank You for the extraordinary generosity of distributing spiritual gifts to each one of us — not to a privileged few, not to the spiritually elite, but to every member of the Body so that we can help each other and change the world around us. We renounce the deception that has kept us powerless — the lie that gifts have ceased, that we do not need them, that they belong to someone else. Holy Spirit reveal to us the gifts You decided we should have. Activate them fully. Empower us to operate in them — for the benefit of the Body, for the needs of the world, and for the advancement of the Kingdom that has always been equipped with everything it needs to accomplish its mission. Let the Renaissance People be a fully gifted, fully activated, fully Spirit-led expression of the Body of Christ — every gift operating, every need addressed, every member contributing exactly what only they can bring. In Jesus' name, Amen.
