Troubled — “Peace be with you. I give you My own peace - this is not the kind the world gives - this is peace in the midst of troubled times; therefore you have nothing to fear. Let not your hearts be timid.” (John 14:27, The Mirror Bible)

We are living in a time that seems to be very troubled. Yet when we look back to when Jesus walked the earth, it was a troubled time then too. Following the persecution and crucifixion of Jesus, we see the disciples hiding in a locked room. “That evening, the disciples gathered together, and because they were afraid of reprisals from the Jewish leaders, they had locked the doors. But suddenly Jesus appeared among them and said, ‘Peace to you!’” (John 20:19, TPT) Times aren’t much different, except that Jesus made a way for Holy Spirit to come and dwell within us!

Our world needs the peace that Jesus proclaimed to His early followers. It’s available through you and me. Yes, we live in troubled times, but we have the answer for those troubles. JESUS is the solution!!

Let’s not hide in a dark room. Rather, let’s bring peace to the world!
