Well — “Jesus answered, “If you drink from Jacob’s well you’ll be thirsty again and again, but if anyone drinks the living water I give them, they will never thirst again and will be forever satisfied! For when you drink the water I give you it becomes a gushing fountain of Holy Spirit, springing up and flooding you with endless life!” (John 4:13-14, TPT)

We read a lot about water, springs, and wells throughout the scriptures. There is the famous scene of Jesus was talking to the woman at the well. Which He wasn’t even supposed to be doing. Yet He told to her drink of the water that He gives so she wouldn’t be thirsty again. Sounds weird, doesn’t it?

He didn’t have any physical water; He was talking spiritually. Later He told the crowds at the feast the same thing — to drink of Him!

“Then on the most important day of the feast, the last day, Jesus stood and shouted out to the crowds—“All you thirsty ones, come to Me! Come to Me and drink! Believe in Me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, just like the Scripture says!” (John  7:37-38TPT)

Jesus had a well within Him that all can drink from. And once we drink of it, we also will have that same living water flowing from within us.

Isaiah also speaks of wells: “With triumphant joy you will drink deeply from the wells of salvation.” He says we will drink with joy from the well of salvation!

I would say this: Water, wells, and springs that the scripture talks about is available and is very important — not only for ourselves, but for those around us.

So take a drink. And then draw a cup for those around you.

Lets Pray:

Daddy God, thank You for providing living water through Jesus that satisfies our deepest thirst and becomes a gushing fountain of Holy Spirit within us. Help us understand that we can drink deeply from the wells of salvation with triumphant joy. Jesus, You broke social barriers to offer this living water to everyone who thirsts. Help us not only drink from Your well but also draw cups for those around us who are spiritually thirsty. Holy Spirit, flow from within us as rivers of living water that bring life to others. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Today’s Decree:

• I declare that I drink from Jesus' living water and will never thirst again!

• I declare that living water becomes a gushing fountain of Holy Spirit within me!

• I declare that rivers of living water burst out from my innermost being to bless others!

• I declare that I drink with triumphant joy from the wells of salvation!

• I declare that I draw cups of living water for those around me who are spiritually thirsty!
