Ask — “ Lord Yahweh spoke to Ahaz: “Go ahead—ask for a sign from Yahweh, your God. Ask for something big, so miraculous that you will know only God did it!” Ahaz answered, “I will not ask. I won’t attempt to test the Lord Yahweh.” (Isaiah 7:10-12, TPT )
Interesting that Daddy God sent Isaiah to king Ahaz to ask for a miracle so big that only He could accomplish it. But Ahaz refused to ask. Makes me wonder if he believed he wasn’t worth of such a great thing? Or maybe Ahaz had already made up his mind since he had paid the Assyrians for protection.
Earlier Daddy God had spoken to those in Judah through Isaiah, “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” (Isaiah 1:18, NKJV) So everyone, including Ahaz, had the promise already!
Many today also believe they are not worthy even though the promise has been given and fulfilled. “So now we come freely and boldly to where love is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness.” (Hebrews 4:16, TPT)
So go ahead and ask those impossible things and watch what Daddy God will do! “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3, NKJV)
Today’s Decrees:
🔥 I decree that I ask Daddy God for big, impossible things, expecting Him to move!
🔥 I decree that I come freely and boldly, receiving the mercy and grace already secured for me!
🔥 I decree that Daddy God shows me great and mighty things I could never know on my own!
Let’s Pray:
Daddy God, forgive me for the times I've held back, like Ahaz did, out of fear or a made-up mind. Help me come freely and boldly before You, trusting in the mercy and grace already secured through Jesus. Give me faith to ask for big, impossible things, knowing You delight in answering in ways only You can. Show me great and mighty things I do not yet know. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Be a Blessing,
Sir Gregory
