Doubting — “If anyone longs to be wise, ask God for wisdom and He will give it! He won’t see your lack of wisdom as an opportunity to scold you over your failures but He will overwhelm your failures with His generous grace. Just make sure you ask empowered by confident faith without doubting that you will receive. For the ambivalent person believes one minute and doubts the next. Being undecided makes you become like the rough seas driven and tossed by the wind. You’re up one minute and tossed down the next.” (James 1:5-6, TPT)

We have a two letter word that has large implications—IF. Many start their prayers thinking maybe if they act one way or another, Daddy God will hear and answer. Or if they ask a certain way then maybe Daddy God hear from heaven and say yes. But really those are just forms of doubt in our heart, wondering if Daddy God will answer or not.

Also, it’s hard to ask when don’t even know what we want. Doubts cause us to believe one minute and not the next. It’s like what James says, we end up being tossed back and forth.

There are ways to overcome our doubts. We can be like the father who asked, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24b, NKJV)

We can also overcome by spending time with Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit in Their presence. Taking time to studying our Bible!

Today’s Decrees:

🔥 I decree that doubt has no hold on me, and I ask Daddy God with confident faith!

🔥 I decree that I receive wisdom from Daddy God, generously given and without scolding!

🔥 I decree that my unbelief is met by Jesus' help every time I bring it to Him!

🔥 I decree that I am steady and rooted, no longer tossed by the winds of doubt!

Let’s Pray:

Daddy God, thank You that when I lack wisdom, You respond with generous grace, not scolding. Forgive me for the times I've prayed with "maybe" and "if" instead of trusting Your heart toward me. Lord, I believe; help my unbelief! Draw me into Your presence and Your Word, and settle every doubt that has tossed me back and forth. I ask You for wisdom, and I receive it in confident faith. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Be a Blessing,

Sir Gregory
