Vessels — “Even in mega-rich households there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay; a vessel’s usefulness defines its true value. Even though their functions differ, each vessel is equally important. Realize your individual value and stop discrediting yourself. You are indispensable for your Master’s use; He knows exactly what He has in you; be ready for any good work.” (2 Timothy 2:20-21, The Mirror Bible)

There are many different kinds of vessels in our world. Same are large; some are small. Some seem less important than others. Yet it their function that matters. Without a vessel to hold oil or wine, we wouldn’t have any to use. (2 Kings 4, John 2). We were created to be a vessel to hold the presence of Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit!

Just like there are many different vessels, there are many different people with different functions and talents. No one is more important than the other. Without feet we couldn’t walk; without a heart we wouldn’t function. Some parts or vessels seem to be more important than others, but without all the parts working together, there isn’t a whole vessel!

You are important and very valuable no matter what part you play! Let nothing convince you otherwise.

Let’s Pray:

Daddy God, we thank You for creating us as vessels to hold Your presence and to serve Your purposes. Help us to understand that whether we are vessels of gold, silver, wood, or clay, each of us has equal importance in Your household. Remove any feelings of inadequacy or comparison that make us discredit our own value. Show us that our individual worth is not determined by how we compare to others but by our willingness to be useful for Your good works. Help us to realize that we are indispensable for Your use, and prepare our hearts to be ready for whatever good work You have for us. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I declare that I am a valuable vessel in God's household, equally important regardless of what I'm made of.

I declare that my usefulness to God defines my true value, not my comparison to others.

I declare that I am created to hold the presence of Daddy God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit.

I declare that I am indispensable for my Master's use, and He knows exactly what He has in me.

I declare that I will stop discrediting myself and realize my individual value in God's Kingdom.
