Worthless

Worthless — “Pressures from every side, like an overcrowded room, is the experience of the soul of everyone who does what is worthless. The fact that the Jews are Jewish does not make their experience of evil any different from that of the Greeks. In sharp contrast to this, bliss, self-worth and total tranquillity is witnessed by everyone, both Jew and Greek, who finds expression in that which is good. We are tailor-made for good. God does not judge people on face value.” (Romans 2:9-11, The Mirror Bible)

How many times do we spend our time and effort on things that are worthless? Life has enough trails and tribulations without us adding to them! Often we will struggle with the worthless things of life and forget what is most important. Let’s evaluate what is good and worth of our efforts.

There are many examples through out scriptures. Paul tells of one such thing in Galatians. “Their only request was that we give something to the poor amongst them which we were keen to do since we already came prepared with gifts.” The leaders in Jerusalem requested they remember the poor among them.

There are many such great accomplishments we could achieve today, leaving the worthless and meaningless to fade away. What is it that’s wasting your time? Let’s be like Paul and find worthwhile tasks instead of wasting our time away!

Let’s Pray:

Good day, Daddy God! Help us evaluate how we're spending our time and energy today. Show us the worthless activities that are adding unnecessary pressure to our lives and crowding out what's truly important. We don't want to waste our precious time on meaningless pursuits when there are so many worthwhile tasks You've prepared for us. Holy Spirit, give us wisdom to distinguish between what's valuable and what's worthless. Help us be like Paul, finding meaningful ways to serve and accomplish great things that matter for eternity. Lead us to the poor, the needy, and the opportunities where our efforts can make a real difference. In Jesus' name, Ame

Today’s Declaration:

I refuse to waste my precious time on worthless pursuits that crowd my soul and create unnecessary pressure. I am tailor-made for good, and I will focus my energy on worthwhile tasks that matter for eternity. Like Paul, I will be prepared and eager to serve those in need around me. I choose bliss, self-worth, and tranquility that come from meaningful living over the overcrowded feeling that comes from meaningless activity.

Be a Blessing,

Sir Gregory
