Worthy — “When the son caught his breath, he began his rehearsed sinner's prayer, Father, I have sinned before heaven and in your face, I am not worthy to be known as your son… The father wasn't paying any attention to this and didn't give him a chance to finish his rehearsed plea; he merely instructed his slaves to immediately bring out the best robe and clothe him in it and give him a ring to put on his finger and shoes for his feet.” (Luke 15:21-22, The Mirror Bible)

Daddy God’s greatest joy is that we return to Him. Even though we don’t deserve His love and forgiveness, He has freely given us both. The stories we make up to justify our actions aren’t worth the breath we want to give them. All of our rehearsed confessions don’t matter. What matters is we’ve come back home into His arms.

“This is my conviction; no threat whether it be in death or life; be it celestial messengers, demon powers or political principalities, nothing known to us at this time, or even in the unknown future; no dimension of any calculation in time or space, nor any device yet to be invented, has what it takes to separate us from the love of God unveiled in our Lord, Jesus Christ.” (Romans 8:38-39, The Mirror Bible”)

Even our own doubt and feelings of not being worthy of Daddy God’s love will never stop Him from loving us!

Today’s Declaration’s:

• I declare that I am worthy to be called Daddy God's child, not because of my performance, but because of His love!

• I do not need a rehearsed speech to earn my way back into His presence; He is already running toward me!

• Nothing in death or life, in any power or dimension, has what it takes to separate me from the love of God unveiled in Jesus Christ!

• My own doubt and feelings of unworthiness will never stop Daddy God from loving me!

• I come home into His arms today, and that is all that is required!

Let’s Pray:

Daddy God, thank You that Your love for us was never dependent on a perfectly rehearsed confession. Thank You that You run toward us before we even finish turning around. Forgive us for the times we have believed we needed to prove our worthiness before we could come close to You. Remind us today that nothing, not death, not any power, not any dimension of time or space, not even anything yet to be invented, has what it takes to separate us from Your love unveiled in Jesus Christ. Where doubt and feelings of unworthiness have kept us at a distance, draw us home into Your arms today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
