Spiritual Gifts

Words of Encouragement

You are not without a gift. You are not the one person in the Body that Holy Spirit somehow overlooked when He was distributing. You were not standing behind the door when the gifts were given out. The Spirit who decided which gift each person should have decided about you — specifically, intentionally, with your assignment already in mind. And that gift is not waiting for you to reach some higher level of spiritual maturity before it becomes available. It is already in you. It may be undiscovered. It may be undeveloped. It may have been suppressed by years of being told it does not exist or does not apply to you. But it is there. Ask Daddy God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit to show you what it is. And then step into it — not perfectly, not with all the confidence in the world, but faithfully and consistently. Because somewhere in the world around you there is a need that your specific gift was designed to address. And the world has been waiting long enough.

Interfering

Words of Encouragement

If things have felt stirred up lately — if the comfortable arrangements of your faith have been feeling challenged, if old understandings have been feeling insufficient, if you have been sensing that something more permanent than another wave of blessing is being called for — that stirring is not a problem. That is Jesus walking into the synagogue. That is the Holy One of God showing up and doing what His presence always does. Do not quiet the discomfort too quickly. Do not rush back to the familiar arrangement. Let Him surface what needs to be surfaced. Let Him challenge what needs to be challenged. Let Him do the deep, permanent, Renaissance work that leaves you with a fundamentally different and truer understanding of who He is — and therefore who you are. The demon cried out because it recognized that the arrival of Jesus meant the end of its comfortable occupation. Let that same arrival end every comfortable occupation in your life that does not belong there. Come Jesus come. He is already on His way.

Identity

Words of Encouragement

If you have been confused about your identity — if you have been drawing your sense of worth and belonging from your standing in a religious system, a ministry organization, or any other institution — hear this today with everything in you. Those things were never designed to hold your identity. They are too small, too shifting, and too human to carry something that vast and that permanent. Your identity belongs in the only place it was always designed to live — in relationship with Daddy God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. In the acknowledgment of His Name on your lips. In the presence that fills the room when genuine praise rises. In the community where every person contributes and every contribution builds. That city is closer to you than any visible one. You do not have to travel to it. You do not have to earn entry into it. You are already a citizen of it — and the praise on your lips is the key that opens the awareness of it. Lift your voice today friend. Let His presence define everything.

Know

Words of Encouragement

You do not have to have it all figured out theologically to know Daddy God. You do not need a seminary degree or a perfect prayer life or flawless worship to experience His presence. He is not waiting for you to accumulate enough information before He will let you in close. He is waiting for you to simply come — to sit, to listen, to talk, to be still long enough to actually experience Him rather than just learn about Him. This is the most accessible invitation in all of Scripture. Knowing Him is not reserved for the spiritually elite. It is offered freely to anyone willing to spend the time. And in that time spent — in prayer, in worship, in stillness, in listening — you will not only come to know Him more deeply. You will come to know yourself more clearly too. He is not far away tonight, friend. He is as close as your next moment of attention. Turn toward Him. Know Him. And let Him know you.

Taught

Words of Encouragement

Whatever you are carrying today — the weight of it, the weariness of it, the way it seems to follow you even into the moments that should feel peaceful — Jesus already knew you would be carrying it when He said come to Me. He was not surprised by your load. He was not waiting for you to get it down to a manageable size before extending the invitation. He said come with all of it. Come heavy laden. Come exhausted. Come frustrated and confused and weary of striving. And I will give you rest. Not I will teach you how to find rest. I will give it. Right now. In this moment. As you turn toward Him rather than toward the noise. The peace and rest you have been looking for are not being kept from you. They are waiting for you. And the One who holds them has already conquered everything that has been stealing them. Come today, friend. He is waiting — and He has been waiting with great patience and great love.

Repeat

Words of Encouragement

You do not have to figure out what to do for God today. That is not the assignment. The assignment — the one Jesus modeled perfectly — is to watch what Daddy God is already doing and join in. He is already at work in your home, your relationships, your community, your city. Holy Spirit is already moving. The question is not what can I accomplish for God today, but what is Daddy God already doing that I get to be part of? That shift changes everything. It takes the pressure off of performance and replaces it with partnership. Best of friends. No secrets. The Father gladly showing His children what He is doing — and inviting them to repeat it. You are not alone in this. The Father is as present in you as He was in Jesus. Fix your gaze today. And watch what happens when you join in.

Peace

Words of Encouragement

If you are tired of the lack of peace in your world — in your relationships, your community, your nation — you are not alone in that longing. But here is the good news. You do not have to wait for the world to figure out peace before you can experience it and produce it yourself. The pathway is right in front of you. Love like Jesus loved. Not because it is easy — it is not. Not because everyone deserves it — they do not, and neither did you when He loved you first. But because that is the soil peace grows in, and there is no shortage of that soil available to you through Holy Spirit. Every act of limitless love you choose today is a seed. And seeds grow into peace, and peace grows into a harvest the world cannot ignore. You want peace? Plant love today. The harvest is coming.

Imitating

Words of Encouragement

The culture is loud. It is persistent. It is creative in its appeal and relentless in its invitation to conform. And some days it feels like the gap between the Kingdom way and the cultural way is so vast that you wonder if anyone is even noticing the difference you are trying to make. They are noticing. A life that has been genuinely transformed — not performing transformation but actually living it — stands out in a culture of conceit and contention the way a candle stands out in a dark room. You do not have to be the biggest candle. You just have to be lit. Let Holy Spirit keep doing the inside work. Let the total reformation of your thinking keep producing the beautiful discerning life Paul describes. And trust that the One you are imitating — the One who is the Light of the world — is shining through you more than you know. Keep imitating Jesus. The world is watching. And what they see in you just might be the better way they have been looking for all along.

Gifts

Words of Encouragement

You do not have to perform your way into the gifts of your Father. You do not have to clean yourself up, check all the right boxes, or meet the standards of whatever religious system has been defining worthiness for you. The argument Jesus makes is so simple it almost feels too good to be true — if even imperfect you knows how to give good things to the people you love, how much more does your perfect Father want to give to you? The answer is immeasurably, infinitely, limitlessly more. The gift is Holy Spirit in His fullness. The requirement is simply asking. So ask today friend — not with a performance resume in hand, not with an apology for your imperfections, but with the simple open-handed trust of a child who knows their Father loves to give. Ask. And watch what limitless heavenly resources look like when they are poured out on someone who simply asked.

Companion

Words of Encouragement

You are not navigating this life without help. You are not trying to remember on your own what Jesus said, figure out on your own what it means, or find on your own the answers to the questions that keep you up at night. You have a Companion. One who was sent specifically for you, specifically for this season, specifically for the questions you are carrying and the doors you are standing in front of. Holy Spirit knows the answer before you finish asking. He knows the reminder you need before you realize you have forgotten. He knows which door to open and exactly the right moment to open it. So lean in today. Talk to Him. Ask Him. Let Him be what Jesus promised He would be — your close, constant, faithful Companion. He has been here the whole time. And He is not going anywhere.

Willpower

Words of Encouragement

If you have been struggling with something and feeling ashamed that your willpower keeps giving out — hear this today. You were never designed to win that battle alone. The very fact that you keep trying is evidence that the longing to do what is right is still alive in you — and Paul says that longing is there. It is real. It is yours. But the power to fulfill it was never meant to come from you. It was always meant to come from Holy Spirit. So stop being hard on yourself for running out of willpower — and start calling out to the One whose power never runs out. He is not disappointed in you for being human. He is ready and waiting to be exactly what you need in exactly this moment. Call out. He is listening. And the way of escape is closer than you think.

Ascension

Words of Encouragement

You are not living in a story without a King. You are not navigating an in-between season without help, without direction, or without promise. Jesus did not ascend and forget you. He ascended and sent you the best possible Helper — Holy Spirit — and He took His seat at the right hand of the Father where He ever lives to intercede for you. Right now, in this moment, the ascended Jesus is aware of everything you are facing. He is not watching from a distance with casual interest. He is actively interceding, actively sending, actively preparing both a place for you and a return to you. The story is not over. The King is on His throne. And the best chapter is still ahead. Hold on, friend — He is coming back.

Unseen

Words of Encouragement

What you are going through right now may feel very real — and it is. But it is not the most real thing in your life. The most real thing in your life is the unseen — the Holy Spirit dwelling within you, the eternal purpose being worked out through your trouble, the glory being produced in the very place that feels the most painful. Paul didn't write these words from a comfortable study — he wrote them from a place of genuine suffering. And he still said the troubles are slight and short-lived compared to what is being produced. You are not just surviving your season. You are being shaped by it into something of eternal, weighty glory. The unseen is at work in you — right now, today, in this very moment. Don't give up. The most real part of your story is still invisible — and it is magnificent.

Listen

Words of Encouragement

You don't have to have the fastest answer to be the most valuable person in the room. In fact, the ones who change everything are usually the ones who listen the longest before they speak. That quiet moment where you resist the urge to interrupt — that is not weakness, that is wisdom. That pause before you respond to what Daddy God is saying — that is not doubt, that is discernment. Keep cultivating the garden of your life with patience and humility. Let the Gardener do what only He can do. And watch how many people find nourishment, healing, and hope simply by spending time in the space your listening has created.

Witnesses

Words of Encouragement

Your story is not ordinary — even if it feels that way to you. What you have walked through, what you have been delivered from, what you have seen God do in the quiet places of your life — that is evidence that Someone is real, Someone is active, and Someone is working. Don't let it stay locked inside you. Someone out there is waiting for exactly the witness only you can provide. Take the stand, friend. Heaven is backing you up.

Thoughts

Words of Encouragement:

Renaissance People, don't let religious traditions or worldly patterns program your thinking when you have direct access to divine wisdom through the Trinity living within you! You are like inspired artists created to express God's beauty and truth through your unique lives, not copies conforming to external expectations. When you understand who They are, you'll discover who you truly are as Their beloved children. Focus on Their thoughts, accommodate yourself to Their delight, and watch how your world begins to transform from the inside out. You have the mind of Christ—learn to think His thoughts and let the revelation of redemption reshape your entire perspective on life!

Rescue

Words of Encouragement:

Renaissance People, you are not forgotten or abandoned in your trials—you are known by name and claimed as belonging to your Kinsman-Redeemer who promises to rescue you! The deep waters of loss, the raging rivers of temptation, and the fiery flames of betrayal are real, but they are things you pass through rather than places you remain trapped. God doesn't promise to prevent every difficulty, but He guarantees His presence through every challenge. Prayer

Words of Encouragement:

Renaissance People, don't let natural circumstances deceive you about spiritual realities! Like Elisha's servant, you need your spiritual eyes opened to see that those who are with you are more than those against you. The mountain is full of horses and chariots of fire surrounding you—divine resources, heavenly protection, and supernatural intervention that your natural eyes can't perceive. Follow Jesus' example of drawing power from intimate prayer connection with Daddy God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. Your prayers have more power than you know to open spiritual eyes, influence impossible situations, and access divine resources. Don't pray small prayers when you serve a big God who delights in showing His power through the prayers of His children. What you're seeing may not be the true story—pray for spiritual sight to see what God is really doing!

Belief

Words of Encouragement:

Renaissance People, don't despise the difficulties and contradictions you're facing—they're the fire that reveals the genuineness of your faith! Unlike gold that fluctuates with market changes, your faith in Christ has permanent value that increases through testing rather than decreasing through trials. You don't need to rely on inherited beliefs that haven't been personally proven; let Holy Spirit help you dig out truth and develop authentic convictions through your own experience with Jesus. Even when He seems remote or invisible, your union with Him continues to ignite belief that makes Him visible to others. Your tested faith exhibits the glory of Christ in you and provides testimony stories worth telling. Hold onto your faith in Jesus and share it with the indescribable joy He provides, knowing that what you believe has been proven genuine through the refining fire of real-life experience!
